Schools to Share Their Strengths

TWO schools are set to benefit from each other's strengths in an innovative partnership.
Nicholas Chamberlaine Technology College in Bedworth and Ash Green School are to form a federation.
The schools will share good practice in the new arrangement, which will last from this April to August 2006.
Lesley King, head teacher at Nicholas Chamberlaine, and Ash Green head teacher Janet Jenkins will remain in their roles with Mrs King overseeing the running of the new federation.
The co-operative working arrangement offered by the education authority, Warwickshire County Council, has been agreed in principle by the two governing bodies and further details are being discussed, with an action plan still to be drawn up.
Teaching staff will continue to be employed by the individual school and each school will continue to have its own budget.
