Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co. of Springfield has named new managing directors for the tax-exempt and consulting practices of its retirement services division.
The agency has hired M. Palmer Whitney to work in the retirement plan market for nonprofit organizations. He was the director of business development for tax-exempt organizations in the eastern United States at Principal Financial Group Inc. of Des Moines.
Craig Haase, who joined MassMutual in 1998, will manage its relationships with regional and national consulting organizations for its retirement services division. He was the division's product development head.
E-Trade Financial Corp. of New York has made Gregory Framke its chief information officer.
Mr. Framke was the executive vice president of technology for the online brokerage, which he joined in 2000.
Before that he had been the chief operating officer for global equities technology and a director at Deutsche Bank in London. Earlier he had been a principal in the technology division at Morgan Stanley, where he managed a variety of departments for capital markets and institutional businesses.
