Football: PERSONAL ATTACK; EXCLUSIVE Shiels Blasts Jeffrey for Hurtful Comments

LARNE manager Kenny Shiels has accused Linfield boss David Jeffrey of being needlessly 'personal and hurtful' in his comments after Saturday's 8-1 victory for the Blues.
Jeffrey branded Shiels a 'football irrelevance' and appeared to take pleasure in describing the weekend result as 'comprehensive, professional and complete'.
"I think Mr Shiels got a footballing lesson today," added Jeffrey. "He has commented on us through the years, but to be honest he is a football irrelevance."
Shiels responded yesterday by suggesting Jeffrey had let himself down by resorting to personal criticism.
