Frank Skinner Dropped by ITV; in Brief
FRANK SKINNER has been dropped by ITV after six years. The comic and chatshow host, who was earning [pounds sterling]3 million a year, is now set to follow up his successful autobiography by writing a novel.
ITV bosses decided to end The Frank Skinner Show when his contract ran out last year. The news is not totally unexpected as the show had already been moved to 11pm, the "graveyard slot" after the news.
Death threats to Chelsea star
CHELSEA footballer Joe Cole has received a string of death threats. The messages were allegedly sent to the midfielder at the club's training ground in Cobham, Surrey, this week. Two letters are said to warn that Cole, 24, would have his throat cut. A third contained a drawing of a bloodspattered footballer. Each was addressed to the England star, who was said to be "badly shaken" by the threats.
