Wales Presents Food to the World


Producers will be out in force next week flying the flag for Wales at trade events across the globe. Sunday sees the start of two important exhibitions in the hospitality sector's calendar - Hotelympia in London, and Gulfood in Dubai.

At both events Welsh companies will be offering a sample of what the Welsh food and drink industry has to offer.

The hospitality sector is an important area for Welsh food and drink producers. Indeed, research carried out for the WDA has shown that consumers in Wales want to see more home-produced food on the menu when eating out, and are willing to pay a bit more for local produce of the right quality and taste.

Hotelympia is a forum for professionals in the food service and hospitality industry, covering a broad range of sectors from food and drink to catering equipment and interiors.

Seven Welsh food and drink producers will be exhibiting at Hotelympia under the True Taste banner, which takes placed at ExCEL in London: The Welsh Sausage Company, Easibake Foods, Trioni, The Fresh Pasta Company, T Nant, Vin Sullivan Foods, and Welsh Farm Organics.
