PRESENTATION IS EVERYTHING; Put Your Creative Skills to Good Use in the Audio-Visual Industry

Byline: By Karen Stewart

AS a manager with one of Scotland's leading production and multi-media companies, Nicola Garman knows how to set the scene for success.

Armed with plasma screens, leads, PA systems and projectors, she can help any company plan and stage conferences, presentations and events at the flick of a switch.

And now that Cameron Presentations are searching for more technicians to join their team, the 31-year-old can't wait to get the show on the road.

Nicola, from Glasgow, said: "I've been with the company now for eight years and love the fact that there are so many different aspects to the job.

"From working on the initial project ideas to rigging the equipment, it's all hands-on.

"When I started, I didn't know anything about the technical side of things and was fully trained up."

She added: "You work in so many different venues that you get to be creative and come up with new ideas all the time.

"In the years that I've been with the company, we've worked with likes of the Scottish Parliament and the Edinburgh Festival, and our client list just keeps on growing and growing.

"With that in mind, these jobs would suit anyone who is flexible, willing to learn and who works well as part of a team."

Currently recruiting for a Glasgow based audio-visual hire technician and trainee technicians in both Glasgow and Edinburgh, Cameron Presentations want to hear from enthusiastic workers with a keen interest in the field.
