TIME Preview: Billy Graham Admires Hillary, and Worries about Bush and Iraq

The Rev. Billy Graham takes center stage in the issue of TIME magazine coming out on Friday, with an interview about his wife's passing and another story revealing his involvement with the Clintons during the Lewinsky scandal. The issue also includes the first excerpts from the forthcoming book by Nancy Gibbs and Michael Duffy, "The Preacher and the Presidents: Billy Graham in the White House." From that, Graham says of past presidents, "Their personal lives, some of them, were difficult. But I loved them all, I admired them all, I knew that they had burdens beyond anything I could ever know or understand." On Senator Hillary Clinton: "I keep up with her. I think a lot of Hillary." On Iraq: "I'm getting a little depressed about Iraq ... Think of what it is doing to Bush. There doesn't seem to be any way out." On presidents' regrets: "Every president I think I've ever known, except Truman, has thought they didn't quite get what they wanted done.
