Military Personnel Celebrate Master-at-Arms Ball; Navy Men and Women Were Commended for Their Service

Navy men and women of Marine Corps Security Force Company-Kings Bay, Ga., gathered at Jacksonville's Hyatt Regency Hotel downtown recently for an evening of cake and camaraderie at the first Master-at-Arms Ball.
Navy and Marine Corps personnel adorned in full dress blues escorting their spouses and dates walked the red carpet as the Southeast Navy Region Band played tunes fitting for the event that combined food, friends and fellowship.
Master of Ceremonies Lt. Christopher Lucka welcomed all to the 232nd U.S. Navy Birthday Ball.
"I would like to thank each and every one of you for being a significant part of tonight's event," he said.
A lone table set for one symbolized the frailty of one prisoner alone against oppressors, for those who have given their lives to uphold freedom.
During the procession, all Navy and Marine personnel were commended for their contributions to the organization.
"I want to say thank you to our sister service, the United States Marine Corps, for your service, and the support the Marines have provided us since the Master-At-Arms integrated into the company 21/2 years ago," said guest speaker Lt. Cmdr. Dave Long as he reflected on how far the Company has come.
