Mountain Province School Gets CHED Aid

BONTOC, Mountain Province - Romulo Neri, chairman of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), approved the release of at least P3.5 million from the agency's Higher Education Development Fund Secretariat (HEDFS) as its grant to the Mountain Province State Polytechnic College (MPSPC).
The money will be used for the implementation of various programs aimed at upgrading the institutional capability of the school.
Out of the amount, P2.5 million is earmarked for the purchase of computer units and related equipment needed for the establishment of a speech laboratory in the government-run school.
The amount of at least P640,000 is to be used to pilot-test the improvement of teaching-learning in higher education with the use of courseware.
MPSPC will assist CHED in the implementation of the courseware project a CHED-selected consultant. MPSC will enter into an agreement with the consultant for the implementation of the project.
Furthermore, the CHED is giving MPSPC P300,000 as financial assistance to fastrack the accreditation of its various courses.
