Research : Iter Fusion Energy Team Complete
The ITER (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor) Preparatory Committee,aholding its first meeting in Cadarache (France) on 14 July since the initialling of the ITER Joint Implementation Agreement on 24 May, approved the nominations for the organisation's top management structure.
Since the Director-General, Kaname Ikeda, is Japanese, the Deputy Director Generals were proposed by the six other delegations. Wang Shaoqi, former Director-General for the Chinese Department of International Cooperation in Science and Technology, will be responsible for administration.
