PRINCE WILLIAM is to join up with Britain's elite soldiers.
The 26-year-old officer and heir to the throne will study all aspects of combat with the the UK's special forces.
Bu this two-month attachment to the SAS and attached units will not involve him going on operations to Iraq or Afghanistan.
This secondment will be the final stage in his year-long tour with the three services.
It is part of his preparations to one day become king and, as such, the head of the country's armed forces.
Clarence House said Wills would also work with the central staff at the MoD, allowing him see how the Army, Navy and the RAF are directed.
The locations of his special forces visits have not been disclosed for security reasons.
He will spend time with the Special Air Service as well as the Special Boat Service, the Special Reconnaisance Regiment and the Special Forces Support Group.
