A Quarter of Young Adults Still Dont Practise Safe Sex

AT LEAST one in four sexually active young adults does not use contraception consistently, according to the Crisis Pregnancy Agency.
The CPA made the claim as it launched a major sexual health promotion campaign yesterday aimed at encouraging consistent contraception use among young adults.
It promotes the message that nobody else is going to do the thinking for you in relation to contraception use.
A study commissioned by the agency found that 26 per cent of adults aged between 18 and 25 did not report consistent use of contraception in the last 12 months.
The campaign aims to counteract what it claims is a key contributor to crisis pregnancy.
It will focus on promoting the thinkcontracep-tion.ie website as a key educational tool providing information on all aspects of sexual health in an interactive and user-friendly manner.
