Nazarene Church Buys Land to Relocate

After 77 years at its downtown home, the Eugene First Church of the Nazarene is moving on to greener - and much larger - pastoral pastures in West Eugene.
The church has purchased a 10.7-acre parcel of land in the Greenhill Technology Park where it hopes to build a 60,000-square-foot building to house its growing congregation.
The assembly is currently spread out through two buildings at 727 W. Broadway, and the entire congregation of 400 to 500 just won't fit in one place for large events or a dinner, church administrator Cindi Bletscher said.
