Cleanest Barangay, Center Awarded
The cleanest and greenest barangay, health center, fire sub-station, police community precinct, and public school in Makati City will be awarded today in a ceremony at the City Hall Quadrangle.
Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay will lead the awarding of trophies and cash prizes to the winners of the city's "Search for Cleanest and Greenest Barangays, Health Centers, Fire SubStations, Police Community Precincts, and Public Schools."
"This contest is part of the city's way of acknowledging the barangays and other government agencies and institutions that have gone the extra mile in demonstrating their commitment to protect and preserve the environment," Binay said.
For the barangay category, Brgy. Urdaneta topped Cluster 1, followed by Magallanes and Bel-Air in the second and third places, respectively.
Cluster 2 winners were led by Brgy. San Antonio, followed by Palanan and Guadalupe Viejo. In Cluster 3, Brgy. East Rembo won first place, followed by Valenzuela and Cembo.
Cluster 4 winners were led by Brgy. Comembo, followed by Kasilawan and Post Proper South Side.
For the health center category, West Rembo Health Center was adjudged first, followed by Pio del Pilar Health Center and Guadalupe Viejo Health Center.
