Environmental Ethics
Professor Michael Northcott is Professor of Ethics in the School of Divinity in the University of Edinburgh. In the last two years he has lectured on the ethics of climate change in Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan and the United States of America as well as throughout the UK.
Michael Northcott was educated at Durham and Sunderland Universities. He taught at the Seminari Theologi Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur before coming to the University of Edinburgh in 1989. He is an ordained Anglican Priest, a trustee of the Fair Trade organisation Traidcraft, Honorary Canon of Liverpool Cathedral and Fellow of the Centre for Human Ecology.
