Billingham-based financial adviser Carterbar has reported a significant improvement in investor confidence on the back of a buoyant Stock Market.
A 60% RISE in stock market value over the past 12 months, has prompted a 35% increase in investment activity at Teesside financial advisors Carterbar.
According to the firm, it has more than doubled its investment target under a deal struck last year with discretionary fund manager, Bath-based Parmenion, which offers services to clients who live and work within a 20-mile radius of Carterbar's offices at Belasis Park.
The Paremenion deal's storming performance combined with low deposit rates which have persuaded investors out of sedentary savings and into more lively investment vehicles, has led to the best ever year opener at the firm.
Carterbar MD Arthur Dornan said: "We are sensing a new confidence and buoyancy in the market.
"People who had decided to keep their money in traditional savings accounts are now wanting their money to work harder for them.
