Cairo to Tender Phase Three of Metro Works in October: Line 3 of Metro Expansion Will Be Developed in Four Phases

Egypt's National Authority for Tunnels plans to start in October the bidding process for the third phase of its Cairo metro Line 3 project, sources close to the scheme tell MEED.
The construction of Line 3 has been broken down into four phases, with each phase sub-packaged as a series of construction contracts. France's Systra, which is the consultant on the expansion of the metro, is expected to complete the tender documents for the construction of the first section of phase three by the end of July.
The design guidelines for the first construction contract are now complete, says one source closely involved with the project. Line 3 will run almost 40 kilometres upon ā¦
