Raiders Eager to Boost Points Tally

Byline: Tim Braban timothy.braban@thechronicle.com.au

TOOWOOMBA Raiders coach Mick Turvey says a win against Eastern Suburbs is crucial in their Women's Premier League match at Commonwealth Oval tonight.

Fourth-placed Easts has a nine-point lead over Toowoomba who sit in fifth on 19 competition points.

With a win tonight and a game in hand over Easts, the Raiders could easily cut that gap down to as little as three points in the next fortnight.

C[pounds sterling]It's a game we need to get up and win if we are going to keep in touch with the top four,C[yen] Turvey said.

Turvey has been forced to make a number of changes to the Raiders line-up, with captain Sam Stubbs and centre-midfielders Chantal Trapp and Sarah Day all unavailable for the clash.

To cover for their losses, Turvey has promoted Chantal Frohloff and Sam McLeverty from the bench into the starting XI.

C[pounds sterling]These girls in now have done the job before and know what it's all about in big games,C[yen] Turvey said.
