Investing in the Future of Marine Engineering
NORTHUMBERLAND-based engineering company Red Marine Limited continues to set the standard for equipment supply and consultancy services in the offshore industry.
Now in its fourth year of operation, Red Marine has successfully established a reputation for supplying bespoke offshore equipment and engineering services to a wide range of customers in the oil, gas and renewable energy sector.
From its headquarters in Hexham and workshop and test facilities in Barrasford, Red Marine provides specialist engineering services ranging from practical testing of subsea power cables to the design and manufacture of offshore equipment and dynamic analysis of offshore operations.
Although the majority of Red Marine's work is focused on the installation sector of the offshore industry, over the last 12 months the firm has made good progress supplying its services into other areas of the sector by working alongside subsea production and well control system providers.
Red Marine has been involved in this area by providing its services through high level feasibility studies, modifications to existing equipment and also full design and build projects, such as ROV intervention tooling.
Red Marine is a forward-thinking business and will continue to demonstrate this with plans to make significant internal investment in research and development over the next 12 months.
The focus of this investment will be on innovation and the development of products to improve the safety and efficiency of offshore operations, with a focus on the mid to long-term future of the business.
