* Richard B. Floyd, president & CEO of Sherman Health, has been elected to the Illinois Hospital Associationsboard of trustees as a regional trustee. Floyd will begin serving a three-year term on the IHA Board on Jan. 1. Floyd has served as the president and CEO at Elgin-based Sherman Health since 2001.Prior to his tenure at Sherman, he served as the executive vice president and chief operating officer at Parma Community General Hospital in Parma, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland, and vice president for the New England Deaconess Hospital in Boston, Mass. He graduated cum laude from Harvard College and earned his MBA from the Yale School of Management.Additionally he is a fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives.Floyd is also involved in various community organizations and speaks Spanish.

*Rhonda Anderson will join the National Volunteer Caregiving Network as executive director. Anderson spent the last seven years with a local caregiving program in Crystal Lake. As former executive director of Faith in Action of McHenry County, the program experienced growth and is now serving well over 1,700 seniors with a budget in excess of $250,000. Anderson earned a bachelor of science from California State University, Long Beach, and a certificate in geriatric social work from Boston University. In addition to her professional experience, Anderson gained leadership skills as a volunteer for Civil Air Patrol, an auxiliary of the US Air Force.Her involvement included various aspects of youth and adult member training and overseeing search and rescue missions.

*David M. Buddingh joined Baker & Daniels LLP as an associate. He will practice construction law and real property litigation from the firms Chicago office. Buddingh litigates a variety of contract and commercial matters, develops shareholder and partnership dissolution agreements, forms business entities, performs residential real estate closings and administers probate cases. As in-house counsel with Fidelity National Financial in Omaha, Neb., Buddingh prepared coverage determinations pursuant to the terms and conditions of Fidelity National Financials multitude of title insurance products, provided case recommendations, and retained and worked with local counsel to determine defense litigation strategies and manage litigation matters.

*Westfield Hawthorn in Vernon Hills named Michael Golden as the new general manager. Golden will be responsible for complete management oversight of all departments within the 1.3 million square-foot shopping center, including engineering, marketing, leasing, accounting and tenant relations. …
