Pride And Prejudice, midday, Yesterday

EVERYONE remembers Colin Firth's wet shirt, but there is much else to admire in Andrew Davies's clever Austen adaptation. Jennifer Ehle -- the best thing about recent movie Contagion -- is captivating as Elizabeth (pictured with Firth). All six parts show today.

Moulin Rouge!, 5.50pm, Sky Modern Greats

BAZ LUHRMANN'S seductive extravaganza, with Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman as the chancer and the courtesan drawn to each other, come what may. Typical genre-defying stuff.

Scrooged, 6.55pm, Film4

AN INGENIOUS update of Dickens's A Christmas Carol, with Bill Murray as the miserly TV exec getting his just deserts at the hands of a trio of spectres -- and putting a little love in his heart.

Celtic v Rangers, 7pm, Sky Sports 1

LAST season, the Old Firm derbies threw up a host of yellow and red cards for both sides, and not only in the SPL. Rangers manager Ally McCoist should expect another high-tempered clash as he chases another title for his men.

World Championship, 7pm, Sky Sports 2

THE third round is when the contest really hots up. Fan favourite James Wade has triumphed twice at this stage since 2009 (when he made the semis), but went out in the second round last year, losing to unseeded Mensur Suljovic.

Legend Of The Guardians: The Owls Of Ga'Hoole, 8pm, Sky Family

AFTER 300 and Watchmen, Zack Snyder turns his attentions to a younger audience with this visually impressive adaptation of Kathryn Lasky's books.
