Deadline for submissions is noon Monday. Due to space limitations, not all "Your Faith" items are listed here. To submit items, email faith@dailyherald.com.

Annual Soldier Drive: Drop-off hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4-5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday until Nov. 21, Faith Lutheran School, 1275 Main St., Antioch. Help bring Christmas cheer to American servicemen and women overseas. Donations of batteries, socks, lip balm, disposable razors, baby/hand wipes, travel size toiletries or monetary contributions can be dropped off at the school. There will be a collection box just inside the main entrance. For information, call (847) 395-1660.

Children's service: 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, Congregation Am Echod, 616 N. Bridgeport Terrace, Suite B, Lindenhurst. Join in for a Children's Service led by Rabbi Segal and the preschool students. Visit www.amechod.org.

Spirit of Hanukkah: Nov. 16 through Feb. 19, North Suburban Synagogue Beth El, 1175 Sheridan Road, Highland Park. The Rissman Family Kol Ami Museum presents "City of Broad Shoulders and Bright Lights: The Spirit of Hanukkah Through the Eyes of Chicagoland Artists." Exhibit lecture is at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5. Explore the techniques and styles represented in the exhibit with Marla Hand, curator of the Robert B. Mayer Family Collection and art history professor at Loyola University. An Artist Reception is at 6:45 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6. Welcome the artists and enjoy complimentary holiday treats and wine. Following Minyan, Jane Shapiro, former associate director of the Florence Melton Adult Mini-School, will lead a discussion from Jewish sources on how to add more meaning to Hanukkah rituals and celebrations. Holiday Marketplace: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, First Presbyterian Church of Deerfield, 824 Waukegan Road, Deerfield. All are invited for a collection of gifts and accessories: jewelry, scarves, holiday decorations, unique gifts, homemade baked goods and more. Proceeds will benefit mission partners, including PADS, I Have a Dream, Highwood programs, Atebubu in Ghana, West Africa.

Grief Share, Surviving the Holidays: 6-7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, Faith Lutheran Church, 24300 Grass Lake Road, Antioch. This seminar will deal specifically with the difficult task of facing the holidays after the loss of a loved one. Anyone that has lost a loved one may attend.
