Improving Health Care Delivery


THE Wide Bay Medicare Local is an independent organisation with strong links to the local community, including health professionals, service providers and patient groups.

Its role is to respond effectively to local health care needs and it is responsible for making it easier for patients and service providers to navigate their way through the health care system.

WBML is already working hard to co-ordinate integrated and seamless health services to which will benefit both health professionals and, most importantly, patients.

Over the next few months, the Wide Bay Medicare Local will be delivering on some key healthcare initiatives.

Some major projects include improving access to after-hours medical care and launching the most comprehensive study ever done into the regionCOs health needs.

General Manager Co Programs and Business Development Mitchell Grambauer said the organisation was fast becoming the driving force behind improvements to healthcare for people in the Wide Bay.
