Strauss Set to Take Up New England Role
EOIN Morgan gave his unqualified support to the prospect of former England captain Andrew Strauss taking up a mentoring role with the national team.
Morgan, who will lead England himself in today's International Twenty20 against India in Pune, knows Strauss especially well thanks to their shared connections for club and country.
The Irishman is a Middlesex player, as was Strauss until his retirement last summer.
Morgan also began his England career under Strauss' captaincy and believes he owes much of his development as a cricketer to the help and friendship he received from him.
