Successful Management of Change Put under Microscope

MANAGING change properly is one of the most important tasks a human resources team can achieve.

And the search is on to find the best companies to work for in the North East and highlight employees who have gone the extra mile for their bosses.

The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development has teamed up with The Journal to recognise the region's top employees and companies.

There are eight awards including the Change Management Project Award. This award considers how a change initiative or project has altered an organisation. Companies entering will need to demonstrate why the project was required and how it was planned.

Judges need to consider the process and people side of the change. Finally the impact of the project and how it was measured and maintained need to be described.

The North East Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development HR awards celebrate those people who have worked above and beyond the call of duty in recruitment and training.

They culminates in a ceremony at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead on April 18, 2013. And this year the awards are once again in association with Nigel Wright Recruitment.

Each award category is sponsored by a well-known organisation including Northumbrian Water, Cintra HR & Payroll Services, Ward Hadaway, Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service, Newcastle University Business School and Home Group. Catherine Attwell, chairwoman of CIPD North East of England branch, said: "These are the region's most prestigious HR&D Awards. Delivered in association with The Journal and associate sponsor Nigel Wright, the awards recognise and celebrate outstanding HR&D achievements and impact on business success.

"Our awards aim to inspire future generations of the great North East. This year there will be a double celebration as we approach the CIPD centenary recognising 100 years of leading HR into the future and celebrating the very best that human resources and development has to offer in the region."

The judging of the event is most important.

A panel of independent CIPD committee members and the relevant award sponsor and associate sponsors Nigel Wright select carefully the finalists and winner.
