Binay, Enrile, Belmonte Satisfaction Ratings Fall
MANILA, Philippines --- Filipinos' satisfaction ratings of national officials next in line to President Benigno S. Aquino III saw a significant decline in the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey results released yesterday.
During the December 8-11, 2012 survey period, SWS found that the net satisfaction ratings of Vice President Jejomar Binay, Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile, and Speaker Feliciano Belmonte Jr. were lower than their August 2012 ratings.
Chief Justice Ma. Lourdes Sereno was the only top government official with an improved net satisfaction rating.
The nationwide survey, first published in BusinessWorld last Monday, used face-to-face interviews of 1,200 respondents.
Seventy-nine percent of Filipinos said they were satisfied with Binay's performance while 9 percent said otherwise, bringing the Vice President's net rating to "excellent" +70 (percentage of satisfied minus percentage of dissatisfied). His latest rating is lower by 9 percent from the previous survey, but remained excellent, according to the SWS.
Net satisfaction ratings are classified by SWS as follows: +70 and above, "excellent"; +50 to +69, "very good"; +30 to +49, "good"; +10 to +29, "moderate," +9 to -9, "neutral"; -10 to -29, "poor"; -30 to -49, "bad"; -50 to -69, "very bad"; and -70 and below, "execrable. …
