Tribute to the Man in Black; August Concert Will Bring Johnny Cash Works to Life

A CELEBRATION of the man in black will be making its way to the Ipswich Civic Centre later this year.
On the 50th anniversary of the release of one of Johnny Cashas biggest hit songs, Ring of Fire, tribute show Johnny Cash the Concert is back in 2013 with an all-new concert experience.
Ipswich City Council Arts, Community and Cultural Services Committee chairman Charlie Pisasale said Australiaas own Daniel Thompson would be supported by Golden Guitar Winner Stuie French for the two-hour tribute show.
aAlso joining the tour is multi-award-winning singer/songwriter Tamara Stewart and country musicians The Tennessee Studs,a Cr Pisasale said.
aJune Carter and the Carter Family, the Statler Brothers, Carl Perkins and Cashas gospel hits will all be featured in the first half of the show, while the second set will culminate Cashas biggest hits including the 1963 favourite Ring of Fire.a
Johnny Cash died at 71 in September 2003 from diabetes …
