City Looms as Hotspot; Rockhampton Tipped as One to Watch for Real-Estate Activity

ROCKHAMPTONCOS property market has been slugged C[pounds sterling]a sleeperC[yen] by a leading property publication.

ThatCOs not a bad thing.

According to hotspotting.com.au, Rockhampton is seen as one of QueenslandCOs next real estate hotspots.

The latest quarterly market report said the city, also the gateway to the Capricorn Coast, was a strong centre for tourism, manufacturing, mining and the military.

C[pounds sterling]Approval for a $600 million redevelopment on Great Keppel Island is seen as a game-changer for the area,C[yen] the report read.

The April report named Darwin and Perth as the leading capital city investor hotspots but said investors should head to QueenslandCOs two CysleeperCO locations, Rockhampton and Toowoomba.

Pat OCODriscoll Real Estate agent Penny Keating said though the market was a bit up and down, there were certainly buyers about. …
