It,COs the Roosters Turn to Crow
LAST year it was the Dragons who blew the Roosters away in the dying minutes to snatch a fairytale Anzac Day clash.
There was none of that yesterday, when the Roosters produced a sublime performance up front in the first half, before cruising to a 34-10 victory in the annual Allianz Stadium clash.
The Roosters were simply sensational in the first half and took a 22-4 lead into the sheds.
It looked like yet another Anzac Day classic was looming after Jason Nightingale put the red and whites ahead 4-0 after five minutes, but that was as good as it got for the joint-venture club.
The Roosters had not won an edition of this game since 2007, but broke their hoodoo in brilliant fashion. Sonny Bill Williams, yet to lose against the Dragons, was again a large part of that brilliance for the tri-colours.
His offload in the 22nd minute Co a no-look, around-the-corner ball for the trailing Mitchell Pearce before Anthony Minichiello finished the movement Co was out of this world.
