Father and Son Investor Team in Texas Buys 4.1% of AmeriWest Financial Corp
DALLAS -- Two Texas investors disclosed last week they have purchased 4.1% of the outstanding common shares of the AmeriWest Financial Corp. of Albuquerque.
In a filing with the Securities and exchange Commission, Calvin R. Guest adn his son Gary d. Guest, both of Bryan, said they hold through their companies 93,600 shares or 4.1% of AmeriWest's 2.3 million outstanding shares.
Calvin Guest, 60, lists himself as an investor and consultant to Lamar Financial Corp., the holding company of Lamar Savings Association of Austing. He also is president and majority shareholder of Mercury Capital, an investment company.
