Adventure Entertainment Corp. the parent of the Adventure Landing theme parks, will be consolidating its corporate offices at Beach Village, a recently completed mixed-use restaurant, office and retail complex at 333 First St. N. in Jacksonville Beach.

The company, which operates 13 theme parks nationwide, including three in Florida -- one in Jacksonville Beach, a second on Blanding Boulevard in Jacksonville and one in Daytona Beach -- wanted to run all operations from a centralized location instead of different sites in other states, said Frank Kiely, chief operating officer for the company.

Adventure Entertainment expects to hire 20 additional employees to staff the 4,200square-foot headquarters and estimates that it will move into the oceanfront space within four to six weeks, Kiely said.

Bradenton-based Bealls Inc., opened its first Beaches outlet store Oct. 22 at the Kmart shopping center, 572 Atlantic Blvd., Neptune Beach.

Bealls Outlet, a fast growing division of the 84-year-old family owned retail chain, features vendor closeout, private label, domestic and import merchandise up to 70 percent off department store prices.

In addition, shoppers 50 years old and up can get a 15 percent discount off all purchases made on Mondays through the Senior Shopping program.
