Zebra Technologies Wins Honor for Ads
Zebra Technologies of Vernon Hills has won "Best of Show" honors as well as a handful of other achievements in the annual Tower Awards competition sponsored by the Chicago Chapter of the Business Marketing Association.
The firm received the best of show award for an ad campaign it produced with KSK Communications. The ads, created for a line of Zebra's printers feature rugged-looking backgrounds of corrugated cardboard, a cement floor and shipping "peanuts," geared to communicate the durability of the product. The entry topped more than 280 other submissions in more than 50 categories.
Zebra received two first-place awards - one in the "Single Page, Four-Color Advertisement" category and one in the "Four-Color Advertising Campaign" category.
Zebra garnered a second-place award in the "Direct Mail- Dimensional" category for a three-dimensional mailer. The piece features a stuffed toy zebra in a box designed to look like a shipping crate with air holes.
