A class on study skills might be the lone candidate to get school board support and be in place before Marquardt Middle School resumes in the fall.
So far it's the only class presented to the Marquardt Elementary District 15 school board that interests a majority of members.
The board last month rejected two other proposed replacements for industrial arts: drama and SimCity 2000, a computerized urban planning program.
Board President Marie Schmidt said she rejected those courses because students needed help in more basic areas - such as with study skills.
