Anthon H. Bang of Arlington Heights

Memorial services for Anthon H. Bang, 83, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 200 S. Wille St., Mount Prospect.

Born Oct. 18, 1915, in Chicago, he died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 1999, in Arlington Heights.

He was the beloved husband of Inga Bang (nee Nielsen); loving father of Ronald (Nancy) Bang, Joyce (Norm) Kraus, Harriet (Joe) Losser and Bruce (Ann) Bang; proud grandfather of Melinda, Steve (Karen), Michael, Dan, Laura, Jenny, Trevor and Kyle; and dear brother of Otto (Fran) Bang and the late Marguerite Bang and Ellinor Buntrock.

Memorials may be made to The Danish Home, 5656 N. Newcastle, Chicago, IL 60631, or to St. Mark Lutheran Church.

Arrangements were made by Friedrichs Funeral Home, Mount Prospect.

Helen M. Betz of Plainfield

Services for Helen M. Betz (nee Sinn), 73, formerly of Naperville, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at Overman-Jones Funeral Home, 309 S. Joliet Road, Plainfield. The Rev. Michael Nolen will officiate.

Born April 14, 1926, in Hamlet, Ind., she died Friday, Sept. 3, 1999, at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet. Interment will be in Plainfield Township Cemetery, Plainfield.

Mrs. Betz grew up in the Hamlet area and graduated from Union High School.

She married Paul Betz on May 14, 1947, and spent most of her life as a homemaker. After they were married the Mr. and Mrs. Betz lived in Plymouth, Ind. until moving to Naperville where they lived for 25 years. After her retirement, Mrs. Betz and her husband went to Arkansas and in 1992 moved to Plainfield, where she was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

She enjoyed painting and gardening.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Paul F. Betz; children, Judy Kennamer of Plainfield, Nancy (William) Brian of Morris, Ill. and Gary (Cheryl) Betz of Bolingbrook; grandchildren, Steven (Cindy) Kennamer of Bolingbrook, Gary, Jerry, Whitney and Andy Brian of Morris, and Daniel and Ashley Betz of Bolingbrook; great-grandchildren, Michael, Nicolas and Katherine Kennamer of Bolingbrook; nine sisters; four brothers; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Delta (nee Bennett) Sinn.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Lillian A. Bjerke

Services for Lillian S. Bjerke (nee Seuffer), 81, a resident of Streamwood for 38 years, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, at the Immanuel United Church of Christ, Streamwood, where she will lie in state from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the services.

Born March 27, 1918, in Chicago, she died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 1999, at Lexington Health Care, Streamwood. Cremation will be private.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Kenneth; children, Susan (Joel) Twerberg of Edgar, Wis., and Scott (Sheila) of Denver, Colo.; and grandchildren, Carol, David and Eric.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, William and Herbert Seuffer.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today, at Countryside Funeral Home, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.), Streamwood/Schaumburg.

Virginia `Jenny' Boles of St. Charles

Services for Virginia `Jenny' Boles, 62, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Yurs Wittenberg Funeral Home, 1771 W. State St. (Route 38), Geneva. Her brother, the Rev. John Montgomery, will officiate.

Born March 21, 1937, in Bumcombe, Ill., to Everett and Gertrude Littlepage, she passed away Friday, Sept. 3, 1999, at Delnor Community Hospital in Geneva.

Burial will be in River Hills Memorial Park, Batavia.
