The first boys gymnastics meet of the season is always a tough one, but host Conant started off 1998 on the right foot Friday night.
The Cougars (2-0) captured a 137.6 to 135.1 Mid-Suburban South victory over Schaumburg (1-1) while adding an MSL crossover victory over Fremd (123.0) in the double-dual meet.
Conant junior Jason Suchy certainly had an impressive start to his spring sports season by winning the all-around competition with an 8.82 average.
"Suchy had a real good meet, and he did a great job on floor," said Conant coach Ed Raymond. "The seniors did a great job to get by Schaumburg, and we ā¦
