Audit Finds School District's Policies Need to Be Updated

A legal assessment done by the Lake Zurich school district's new law firm is raising several policy and personnel questions.
Attorney Lawrence Weiner said he cited 18 district policies or procedures that need revision or should be "more fully developed," to comply with state and federal law. He also found five instances of administrators who were not properly certified for their jobs.
Weiner noted the policy findings were similar to problems found in other districts his firm has audited.
