Prospect Kids Dim Lights for 'King and I' Musical

Students at Prospect High School will present one of the most beloved and enduring musicals of all time "The King and I" at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday in the school's theatre, 801 W. Kensington Road.
On Saturday night only, a dinner-theatre option is available with dinner being served at 5:30 p.m. and the show following at 7:30 p.m.
Brought to the Broadway stage several decades ago, the role of the King of Siam in the movie version virtually gave Yul Brynner a new identity and won him an Academy Award.
The beautiful, well-known music and lushly costumed cast, plus the addition of many elementary school children who portray the king's children, bring an added dimension of interest to the production.
