Women's Club to Sponsor Spirituality Night at Church

The Women's Club of St. Thomas of Villanova Parish in Palatine will present an evening of "Spirituality for Today's Women" at 7:30 p.m. today. The featured guest speaker will be Sister Jeannine Randolph, pastoral assistant at St. Margaret Mary Church in Algonquin. Sr. Randolph is a member of the Sisters of the Living Word whose mother house is in Arlington Heights. The discussion will be in the St. Thomas Parish Hall in the lower level. St. Thomas Women's Club would like to invite any interested women to participate in this evening of renewal. Refreshments will be served. The church is at 1141 E. Anderson Drive.

Victorian teas

Enjoy an old Victorian custom among the lovely surroundings of the Clayson House's antique furnishings at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. this Saturday and April 30 or at noon and 3 p.m. this Sunday and April 21. Scones, finger sandwiches and desserts will be served while guests enjoy a vintage hat show and program highlighting the custom of having teas. Seating is limited to 28 people at each tea time, and tickets can be purchased between 10 a.
