Your Future: Distance No Object for College Students
THE Open College for Distance Learning was set up to bring useful vocational training within the reach of everyone in the UK.
The courses are written on the basis that the student has little or no knowledge of the subject they are studying, but have an interest in the subject, either to further their career, fancy a change in direction or just to learn a bit more about an area that interests them.
Many people think about studying or doing a course, but are put off going to nightschool or college for various reasons, such as: they do not want the pressure of a classroom environment; they cannot commit to a set time each week; they may not be able to travel to the school or college.
