Economics Expert Philip Walsh Moore Dies
A private family service is planned in Burmont, Pa., for Ponte Vedra resident Philip Walsh Moore, whose nationwide expertise on economics spanned more than 50 years and whose skill on the tennis court earned him an invitation to the Senior Davis Cup Team.
Mr. Moore died July 18. A memorial service in Ponte Vedra will be announced later.
Mr. Moore attended Princeton University, from which he graduated magna cum laude in 1942. While at Princeton, was named to Phi Beta Kappa honor fraternity in his junior year, and was named a Lyman Biddle Senior Scholar.
He was a captain of the university's tennis team and in his junior year played on the Junior Davis Cup ā¦
