35 Beauties Vying for Miss Earth Title

Thirty-five international beauties vying for the Miss Earth 2001 title, the first beauty pageant that focuses on environmental issues, were presented to the media yesterday at the poolside of the Hotel Intercontinental Manila in Makati City.
The coronation will be held on Sunday, Oct. 28, at the University of the Philippines Theater in Diliman, Quezon City. It will be telecast live nationwide on RPN-Channel 9 and to 35 other countries in Asia and the Middle East via Star World cable channel.
Called "Beauties for a Cause," the staging of the Miss Earth 2001 international beauty pageant comes at a time when concern for Mother Earth and its environment has been ā¦
