Awards, honors and achievements

GOOD CITIZENS CONTEST - The Oregon Lewis and Clark Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution has announced the winners of its annual Good Citizens Contest. First place went to Alisa McKee of Thurston High, second place to Ashly Barth from Springfield High and third to Karen Ramirez of Oakridge High. Also participating were Toviana Lyons from Churchill High, Stephanie Vida from McKenzie High and Nicole Thames from Junction City High.

PGE ELECTRON RUN - The season opener of the PGE Electron Run race season was held March 2 in Keizer. Students from 19 Northwest high schools competed to see which electric car could travel the farthest in the allotted hour.
