If the success of benefit events were to be judged on enthusiasm alone, the Barrington Chapter of Infant Welfare Society of Chicago's dinner, silent auction and fashion show would undoubtedly rate a perfect score.
For the first time, organizers decided to depart from their usual luncheon-format, and more than 200 members, husbands and friends gathered at Twin Orchard Country Club in Long Grove to raise funds for the Infant Welfare Clinic at Halsted and North Avenues in Chicago.
