KPMG LLP announced yesterday that one former partner and 13 staff members of the Jacksonville office of Arthur Anderson LLP joined KPMG.
The KPMG hirings will take the majority of the remaining professional staff at the local Andersen office, and the office will close within the next few weeks, according to Andersen corporate spokeswoman Julie Hallinan. A small administrative staff remains to attend to the details of the office closure.
The transfer of local Andersen staff to KPMG is effective immediately. KPMG declined to comment on the details of the hirings.
