Koppers Names Vice President of Human Resources

Robert J. Howard joined Koppers Inc. as vice president of human resources. He is responsible for providing human resource leadership within the company. Previously, Howard was vice president of human resources and administration for L.B. Foster Co. Inc.

Banking and finance

Centra Bank, Fayette County, named Sally Bryan vice president of private banking, Joseph G. Klocek senior vice president of retail banking, and Michael G. Uhouse senior vice president of commercial banking. Bryan manages the loan and deposit portfolios for high value customers; Klocek manages customer service functions; and Uhouse manages business banking functions.


Grossman Yanak & Ford LLP named Anne M. Stalter manager and Megan R. Oyler senior accountant in the assurance and advisory services group; and Sara A. Stevens, Benjamin R. Hardt, William E. Blick, Jennifer L. Crain, Charles C. Alcorn, Karen T. Mangis, Christopher J. Bizich, and Julie Ann Sullivan joined the firm. Stevens is an associate in the firm's business valuation services group; Blick and Crain are associates in the tax services group; Alcorn, Mangis and Bizich work in the technology services group; and Sullivan works in the advisory services group and for the technology services group.


Lara A. Northrop joined The Webb Law Firm. She is a patent attorney and handles matters such as preparation and prosecution of patent, trademark and copyright applications, preparation and evaluation of intellectual property license agreements, and patentability opinions.

Judge Joseph A. Del Sole joined the law firm of Del Sole Cavanaugh LLC as of counsel. He provides arbitration and mediation services throughout Pennsylvania.

Advertising, public relations

Scot Fleming joined Droz and Associates as creative designer. He works with the design and public relations teams and to expand the interactive marketing group, devoting more resources to the development of viral content for e-clients.


Robert T. Harper joined the University of Pittsburgh School of Law's board of visitors. He is a shareholder in Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney's Pittsburgh office, serves as co-chair of the firm's health care section and represents for-profit and nonprofit entities in acquisition transactions, general business and corporate matters.

Robert S. Barker was appointed chairman of the law school section of the Inter-American Bar Association. He is a professor of law at Duquesne University.

Health care

Melissa A. Opst joined Phoenix Rehabilitation and Health Services Inc. as a physical therapist. She has eight years experience in a variety of clinical settings.

Mary Ann Farmerie retired from her position as vice president, patient care services, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She began her career as an intensive critical care unit staff nurse in 1979 and during her 27-year career served as an outpatient surgery staff nurse, monitoring registered nurse in diagnostic imaging, director of education, director of patient care services, director of the ortho, neuro and rehab services line and more.
