Attached to West End clubbers' favourite The End, AKA bar has a funky life of its own, with a mezzanine restaurant above it. A music biz crowd - most noticeably at the "star deck" table suspended above the warehouse- like bar - dines on Szechuan-style consomme with noodles and lobster wontons, steak foie gras sandwiches, and caramelised orange tart with chocolate and cardamom ice-cream for pounds 25 from the set-price menu. It's the kind of food with style, soul and substance you'd be happy to eat anywhere. On Saturday nights AKA becomes an extension of The End, the rest of the week they show movies or have DJs.
