Berlin has not seen anything like it for 57 years. Goose- stepping performers in Nazi uniform, singing "Springtime for Hitler", are to appear in the German capital.
It is not a political movement, but a local production of the hit Broadway comedy The Producers. The brains behind the show, film- maker Mel Brooks and US production company Clear Channel, have stuck a deal with local promoters.
For those who do not know the plot of The Producers, based on Brooks's 1968 film of the same name, it involves an accountant and a Broadway producer who hatch a plan to raise money for a show so tasteless that it will fold on opening night, leaving them to pocket a mountain ā¦
