Mass Exodus to Coast as 15 Million Cars Hit the Road

A MASS exodus is under way over the bank holiday as millions of people head for coastal resorts and weekend festivals, lured by the prediction of warm weather.
AA Roadwatch estimates that 15 million cars will be on the roads during the weekend, and has warned that traffic jams will be particularly severe on routes to Blackpool and North Wales.
Travel operators report that 1.5 million Britons are heading abroad, many of them taking advantage of low-cost air tickets to European resorts.
The Reading festival, which started yesterday, is likely to create congestion on the M4 around junction 11 as well as the section of the A4 which runs through the town. ā¦
