SUNDAY
I find myself at the main service apologising to the congregation for the extra seating and lighting, making life difficult for a Sunday. Nobody minds though. This is going to be a special week for Canterbury and we're looking forward to it.
MONDAY
Travel up to Westminster for a meeting of the General Synod - the parliament of the Church of England - even though I would prefer to be in Canterbury helping with the preparations. Welcome the Archbishop of Canterbury to the meeting for the first time.
TUESDAY
Speak at a debate at the General Synod but keep in touch with Canterbury Cathedral by telephone. The lawns are being mowed, ā¦
