When looking at visions of the next technological revolution, we should take into account the world around us. Accelerating globalisation, the need for environmental protection and diminishing resources are all causes for concern.Globalisation is a pre-eminent issue of our age. Given current efficiency standards, demand for the world's energy is set to increase by 60 per cent by 2O3O.The greenhouse effect, finite stocks of inexpensive oil and the unstable political situation in oil-producing countries are all factors driving conservation. Bosch, however, is abreast of environmental change, already working on technological solutions to deal with these concerns.
